Read the text, then answer: « A weekend in Tabarka »

My name is Selim and I live in Béja with my parents and my little sister Malek. Every June, we spend a weekend in Tabarka. We go camping near the beach in a big green tent.

On Saturday, we always get up early. Dad and I go fishing on the rocks. I enjoy fishing because it is quiet. Malek doesn’t like fishing. She likes flying her kite on the sand. Mum loves reading under a pine tree.

At noon, we have a picnic. Mum makes a salad with eggs, and we eat bread and lots of fruit. We never drink fizzy drinks. In the afternoon, I sometimes swim in the sea, but Malek is afraid of the waves.

On Sunday evening, we are tired but happy. In the car, Malek asks, “How about coming back next month?” Dad smiles and says, “OK! Let’s come back in July!”

  1. I read the task and find what I must write about.
  2. I make a plan: beginning, middle, end.

A model text to compare with (after writing mine)

On the weekend, my family and I sometimes go to Ain Draham. First, we walk in the forest. I enjoy walking because the air is fresh. My brother Amine likes riding his bike, but I prefer climbing the hills. At noon, we have a picnic by the river. We eat sandwiches, salad and oranges. Then my dad and I fly a kite. In the evening, we are tired, but we are very happy.

One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
